ビートルズのBBCライブ音源はこれまでにもボックス・セットやシリーズ物含め数多くのリリースがありました。そして公式でも発売されましたがオフィシャル・リリースは膨大なセッション音源から厳選された内容でその全容を掴むことはできません。現時点では数年前に編纂された「UNSURPASSED　BROADCAST」が決定版とされコレクターにはお馴染みですが今回この新たなリリースでは音飛びやノイズ修復・ピッチ修正はじめ新発掘音源や新規リマスターにより一段と音質も内容もアップグレードされた２０１３年最新アップデート・エディションになってます。公式と重複する音源もすべてオリジナル・ソース編集により曲によっては公式よりも聴きやすい音質や未編集のリアルで生々しいサウンドで収録されており既発と聴き比べると多くの曲で最新リマスターによる音質向上や編集の違いがわかります。特にVOL.1の最初期音源では音源ソースは同一ながら現状ベストといえる改善が施されています。時系列の収録で各VOL表題のシリーズ番組がそれぞれちょうど振り分けられVOL.２のDISC4の６５年以降には”アディショナル・マテリアル”が追加収録。ここでは２０１３年BBCハイライトが収録されてますが公式にも収録された「アイ・フィール・ファイン」のセッション音源は注目の初登場音源で最新放送も公式も一部カット編集されてましたがここでは最長のコンプリ・バージョンが各バージョンと共に収録されてます。今回あえてインタビュー音源を合わせずに楽曲音源を中心に最新ソースを追加してCD１１枚にまとめられており長尺インタビューを飛ばすことなく時系列に聴くことが出来ます。内容的には各番組ごとに現存する音源ソースはすべて収録されておりVOL.１と２を揃えればBBCライブ・セッションは完璧です！！(6CD) POP GO THE BEATLES - COMPLETE BBC MASTERS VOL.1 [6CD SET] SCDBV101-106 DISC ONE 01.
