2012年12月12日NY,マジソン・スクエア・ガーデンで行われた、ハリケーン救済イベント「ザ・コンサート・フォー・サンディ・レリーフ」を、当時現場でそのすべてをデジタル器材を用い、トータル6時間にわたりコンプリート収録したテーパー所有のオリジナル・マスターがここの陽の目を。まずこの一大チャリティ・イベントは映画公開もされ、公式映像もリリースされているものの、1時間40分ほどのダイジェストで、しかもドキュメンタリー形式になっているため、実際登場したアーティストのライブ・パフォーマンスは1曲、もしくはごく一部しか取り上げられていないのに対し、こちらは完全に現場でレコーディングされた音源ゆえ、大トリを飾ったポール・マッカートニーをはじめ、エリック・クラプトン、ブルース・スプリングスティーン、ビリー・ジョエル、ボン・ジョヴィ、ロジャー・ウォータース、ザ・フー、そして2曲のみながら急遽出演となったストーンズ等、まさに豪華アーティストたちが集った一夜限りのスペシャル・コンサートの模様を完全再現。特にこの時期のツアーのハイライト部分をほぼそのまま披露している、ロジャー・ウォータースやザ・フーは30分近い長尺ステージで、トリのポールもニルヴァーナとの競演を含む8曲全てを収録。 それらの模様を、中継放送とは別のオリジナル・オンエアーからの、ワイドスクリーン・HDTV映像にてここに収めた、ライブ・パフォーマンスの完全版ゆえ、映画等では物足りないファンは必見マスト・アイテム。 なおこのマスターはネット等でも一切公開されておらず、分離感も満点の良好なステレオ・オーディエンス録音で収録されており、まさにこの世紀のチャリティ・コンサートのリアル・ドキュメント。 Disc 1 : 1.
